# Time Vault vs Lockbox

The clearest difference is update cadence: Time Vault at every 2 weeks against Lockbox's every 3 months. Lockbox's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Vault sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Lockbox sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Time Vault ships an update every 2 weeks, Lockbox every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
