# Merite vs Haven

The clearest difference is rating: Haven at 5.0 against Merite's 4.6. Merite's advantage is ratings volume (35 vs 1) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Merite sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Haven sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Haven holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Merite has 35 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Merite ships an update every 11 days, Haven every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
