# SpeedMind vs FlashRead

The clearest difference is update cadence: FlashRead at every 2 weeks against SpeedMind's every 5 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpeedMind sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and FlashRead sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SpeedMind ships an update every 5 months, FlashRead every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
