# SMT Controller vs Airothy

The clearest difference is update cadence: Airothy at every 3 weeks against SMT Controller's every 4 months. SMT Controller's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SMT Controller sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Airothy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SMT Controller ships an update every 4 months, Airothy every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
