# Backpackr vs Noverelle

The clearest difference is update cadence: Noverelle at every 8 days against Backpackr's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backpackr sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and Noverelle sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backpackr ships an update monthly, Noverelle every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
