# ComiX vs ComicPad

ComiX and ComicPad both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ComicPad's written reviews are positive against 25% of ComiX's. ComicPad also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). ComiX's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (28 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ComiX sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and ComicPad sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for ComiX against 4.5 for ComicPad. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ComiX has 28 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 25% of ComiX's written reviews are positive against 100% of ComicPad's.

ComiX ships an update every 10 days, ComicPad every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
