# Mirage vs Astropad Workbench

The clearest difference is rating: Astropad Workbench at 4.8 against Mirage's 3.8. Astropad Workbench also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (199 vs 8). Mirage's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (75% vs 59%). On price, ads, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mirage sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Astropad Workbench asks for nothing beyond the download.

Astropad Workbench holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Astropad Workbench has 199 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Mirage's written reviews are positive against 59% of Astropad Workbench's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mirage ships an update every 6 days, Astropad Workbench every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
