# Dale vs Year Progress

The clearest difference is rating: Year Progress at 5.0 against Dale's 4.2. Dale's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dale sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Year Progress sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Year Progress holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dale has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
