# Chat Journal vs Talkfolio

The clearest difference is update cadence: Talkfolio at every 5 days against Chat Journal's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chat Journal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Talkfolio sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chat Journal ships an update every 2 months, Talkfolio every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
