# NextTerm vs Xermius

The clearest difference is update cadence: Xermius at every 5 days against NextTerm's every 2 months. Xermius also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NextTerm sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Xermius sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NextTerm ships an update every 2 months, Xermius every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
