# Bluetooth Mic vs RequestPlayer

The clearest difference is update cadence: RequestPlayer at weekly against Bluetooth Mic's every 3 months. Bluetooth Mic's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bluetooth Mic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year and RequestPlayer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bluetooth Mic ships an update every 3 months, RequestPlayer weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
