# Math Beast vs Pipe Counter

The clearest difference is monetization model: Math Beast at free against Pipe Counter's free with in-app purchases. Math Beast also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Pipe Counter's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly) and ratings volume (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math Beast sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Pipe Counter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Math Beast against 5.0 for Pipe Counter. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively.

Math Beast ships an update monthly, Pipe Counter every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
