# SpeakDeck vs My Dictionary

The clearest difference is update cadence: My Dictionary at every 2 days against SpeakDeck's weekly. SpeakDeck's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 27.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpeakDeck sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and My Dictionary sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SpeakDeck ships an update weekly, My Dictionary every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
