# Hexly vs Tower Builder

The clearest difference is rating: Tower Builder at 5.0 against Hexly's 4.7. Hexly's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hexly sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Tower Builder sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tower Builder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hexly has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hexly ships an update every 4 days, Tower Builder every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
