# MesBD vs ReadXP

The clearest difference is update cadence: ReadXP at every 9 days against MesBD's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MesBD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ReadXP sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MesBD ships an update every 2 months, ReadXP every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
