# SpendWidget vs Barely Spent

The clearest difference is update cadence: Barely Spent at weekly against SpendWidget's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpendWidget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Barely Spent sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SpendWidget ships an update fortnightly, Barely Spent weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
