# Affirmation Lock vs Beacon

The clearest difference is update cadence: Affirmation Lock at every 4 days against Beacon's fortnightly. Beacon's advantage is iOS requirement (18.5 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Affirmation Lock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Beacon sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Affirmation Lock ships an update every 4 days, Beacon fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
