# Cyd vs Bluestodon

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cyd at weekly against Bluestodon's monthly. Cyd also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cyd sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year and Bluestodon sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cyd ships an update weekly, Bluestodon monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
