About

Kabuun

Kabuun teaches how the stock market works, starting from zero. Read a candlestick chart, the company's numbers and the day's news, then predict where tomorrow's share price goes from four choices. Guessing does not work. The game is built so that the people who understand WHY a price moves are the ones who win. For all ages Available in English and Japanese. The app follows your phone's language and can be switched by hand at any time. In Japanese, kanji carries furigana readings that can be turned off, so younger readers can follow along. Financial literacy is weak in Japan, and this is just as much for the grown-up who never quite learned how shares work. Not guessing. Reading. Good news comes out and the price falls. Profits drop and it rises. These are real market patterns, turned into questions: - Already priced in: great earnings, price falls, because it had already risen - Versus expectations: profits down, price up, because the market feared worse - Dilution: a new factory sounds good, but the share count rose 20% - Supply: record profit, then a large holder announces a 15% sale - Interest rates: strong orders, but a high-PER stock falls on a rate rise - Short squeeze: what happens when good news hits a heavily shorted stock After each answer you get an explanation and a takeaway. Those two screens are the actual game. It starts with why investing matters Not with questions. The first slides explain that money loses value to inflation: a 10,000 yen game becomes about 20,000 yen in 36 years at 2% a year, while 10,000 yen in a money box stays 10,000 yen. Shown as a diagram. How to play - 11 stages, 55 questions, free (chapters 1-4) - Choose your stake (100 / 500 / 1000 points), then predict. Wrong costs points - Stars are earned by calling the direction, and open the next stage - Each chapter ends with a boss stage where the stake doubles - Chapters 5-7 (9 stages, 45 questions) are an optional one-time purchase What you learn - Candlesticks: open, close, high, low, bodies and wicks - Moving averages and volume - PER, market cap, dividends, and how to read an earnings report - How currency, interest rates and the economy feed into a share price Safe to play - No account, no sign-in - No personal data collected - Works fully offline. The only network use is the optional purchase - No advertising - Furigana on kanji, switchable. Suitable at any age Rewards Spend points dressing up the mascot, Kabuo: 22 glasses, hats, scarves and pets. All cosmetic. None of them make the game easier. Please note This app is a learning game. Every company, share price and news item in it is invented and has no connection to any real company or financial product. It is not investment advice.
