# Progress Pictures vs Body Tracker

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Progress Pictures at none against Body Tracker's 3. Progress Pictures also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Body Tracker's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (40 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Body Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Progress Pictures asks for nothing beyond the download.

Progress Pictures holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Body Tracker has 40 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Progress Pictures ships an update every 2 months, Body Tracker every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
