# Widgets & Countdown vs Pottery Pal

The clearest difference is rating: Pottery Pal at 5.0 against Widgets & Countdown's 3.0. Pottery Pal also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widgets & Countdown sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Pottery Pal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pottery Pal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pottery Pal has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Widgets & Countdown ships an update every 3 months, Pottery Pal every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
