# PolyScout vs WhaleWatch

The clearest difference is update cadence: PolyScout at fortnightly against WhaleWatch's monthly. WhaleWatch's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PolyScout sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and WhaleWatch sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $49.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PolyScout ships an update fortnightly, WhaleWatch monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
