# FocusLock vs ReadLock

The clearest difference is update cadence: ReadLock at every 5 days against FocusLock's every 3 months. FocusLock's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FocusLock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and ReadLock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FocusLock ships an update every 3 months, ReadLock every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
