# Neko Dash vs OpenSub

The clearest difference is review sentiment: OpenSub at 100% against Neko Dash's 50%. OpenSub also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). Neko Dash's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (8 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neko Dash sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. OpenSub asks for nothing beyond the download.

Neko Dash holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Neko Dash's written reviews are positive against 100% of OpenSub's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Neko Dash ships an update every 2 weeks, OpenSub every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
