# DeVPN vs Marshall VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: DeVPN at free against Marshall VPN's free with in-app purchases. Marshall VPN's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DeVPN sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Marshall VPN sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DeVPN ships an update every 5 weeks, Marshall VPN weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
