# LightCal² vs PhoPick

The clearest difference is update cadence: PhoPick at every 3 days against LightCal²'s fortnightly. PhoPick also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LightCal² sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and PhoPick sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LightCal² ships an update fortnightly, PhoPick every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
