# Anywhere Proxy vs Zima

Anywhere Proxy and Zima both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Zima's written reviews are positive against 67% of Anywhere Proxy's. Zima also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). Anywhere Proxy's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (63 vs 3). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anywhere Proxy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Zima sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Anywhere Proxy against 4.7 for Zima. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anywhere Proxy has 63 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Anywhere Proxy's written reviews are positive against 100% of Zima's.

Anywhere Proxy ships an update every 2 weeks, Zima every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
