# REC vs Caper

The clearest difference is ads: REC at none against Caper's shown. Caper's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. REC sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Caper sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

REC ships an update every 7 months, Caper every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
