# Daily Text Reader vs Daily Text

The clearest difference is update cadence: Daily Text Reader at every 2 weeks against Daily Text's every 6 weeks. Daily Text's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Daily Text Reader against 5.0 for Daily Text. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Daily Text has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Daily Text Reader ships an update every 2 weeks, Daily Text every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
