# Pick Up vs Petal

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Petal at none against Pick Up's 3. Pick Up's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (32 vs 3). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pick Up sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Petal asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Pick Up against 5.0 for Petal. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pick Up has 32 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Pick Up ships an update every 2 weeks, Petal every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
