# Sound Generator Lab vs DroneSynth

The clearest difference is update cadence: DroneSynth at every 4 days against Sound Generator Lab's every 5 weeks. Sound Generator Lab's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sound Generator Lab sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DroneSynth sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sound Generator Lab ships an update every 5 weeks, DroneSynth every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
