# PickDatePlace vs Trace

The clearest difference is update cadence: Trace at weekly against PickDatePlace's every 3 weeks. PickDatePlace's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (18.5 vs 26.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PickDatePlace sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Trace sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PickDatePlace ships an update every 3 weeks, Trace weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
