# External Display Desktop vs Life Grid

The clearest difference is device support: Life Grid at 4 against External Display Desktop's 2. Life Grid also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. External Display Desktop sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Life Grid sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
