# Tolma vs Max

The clearest difference is update cadence: Max at every 4 days against Tolma's every 6 weeks. Tolma's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tolma sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Max sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tolma ships an update every 6 weeks, Max every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
