# Chat Local vs Ripple

The clearest difference is device support: Chat Local at 3 against Ripple's 1. Chat Local also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chat Local sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Ripple sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
