# Scritchy Scratchy vs Dogpile

The clearest difference is price: Dogpile at Free against Scritchy Scratchy's $6.99. Dogpile also leads on review sentiment (87% vs 74%). Scritchy Scratchy's advantage is ratings volume (2.8K vs 135) and chart position (#4 vs unranked). On rating, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Dogpile is free to download; Scritchy Scratchy costs $6.99 up front. Scritchy Scratchy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dogpile sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scritchy Scratchy holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scritchy Scratchy has 2.8K ratings behind it against 135, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Scritchy Scratchy's written reviews are positive against 87% of Dogpile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
