# Frog Match vs Lanterns

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lanterns at daily against Frog Match's every 5 days. Frog Match's advantage is ratings volume (57 vs 10). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Frog Match sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Lanterns sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Frog Match against 5.0 for Lanterns. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Frog Match has 57 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Frog Match ships an update every 5 days, Lanterns daily. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
