# NoteMagnet vs Control

The clearest difference is update cadence: Control at every 6 days against NoteMagnet's every 2 months. NoteMagnet's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteMagnet sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per year and Control sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteMagnet ships an update every 2 months, Control every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
