# Ultimate Game Dev Tycoon vs Tour Empire

The clearest difference is ads: Ultimate Game Dev Tycoon at none against Tour Empire's shown. Tour Empire's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ultimate Game Dev Tycoon sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Tour Empire sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ultimate Game Dev Tycoon ships an update every 2 months, Tour Empire fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
