# MindCastle vs Timix

The clearest difference is update cadence: Timix at every 10 days against MindCastle's every 3 weeks. Timix also leads on iOS requirement (18.2 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MindCastle sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.29 per month and Timix sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MindCastle ships an update every 3 weeks, Timix every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
