# Ghost Detector vs AuraCam

The clearest difference is rating: Ghost Detector at 4.3 against AuraCam's 3.7. Ghost Detector also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (111 vs 3). AuraCam's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (100% vs 75%). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost Detector sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. AuraCam asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ghost Detector holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost Detector has 111 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Ghost Detector's written reviews are positive against 100% of AuraCam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ghost Detector ships an update every 11 days, AuraCam every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
