# Focustown vs Focus Friend

The clearest difference is ads: Focus Friend at none against Focustown's shown. Focus Friend also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Focustown's advantage is ratings volume (9K vs 1) and update cadence (daily vs every 6 days). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focustown sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Focus Friend sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus Friend holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focustown has 9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Focustown's written reviews are positive against 100% of Focus Friend's.

Focustown ships an update daily, Focus Friend every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
