# Focustown vs Pomodoro Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Focustown at every 2 days against Pomodoro Timer's every 10 days. Focustown also leads on ratings volume (8.3K vs 18) and chart position (#192 vs unranked). Pomodoro Timer's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focustown sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Pomodoro Timer sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pomodoro Timer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focustown has 8.3K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Focustown's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pomodoro Timer's.

Focustown ships an update every 2 days, Pomodoro Timer every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
