# Focustown vs FocusPal

The clearest difference is ads: FocusPal at none against Focustown's shown. FocusPal also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Focustown's advantage is ratings volume (8.4K vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focustown sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and FocusPal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FocusPal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focustown has 8.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Focustown's written reviews are positive against 100% of FocusPal's.

Focustown ships an update every 2 days, FocusPal weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
