# Focustown vs AssignList

The clearest difference is ads: AssignList at none against Focustown's shown. AssignList also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Focustown's advantage is ratings volume (7.9K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focustown sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and AssignList sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AssignList holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focustown has 7.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Focustown ships an update every 2 days, AssignList every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
