# Leaf vs OnShelf

The clearest difference is ads: OnShelf at none against Leaf's shown. Leaf's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Leaf sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and OnShelf sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Leaf ships an update every 2 days, OnShelf every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
