# Leaf vs Instant Reader

The clearest difference is ads: Instant Reader at none against Leaf's shown. Leaf's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Leaf sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Instant Reader sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Leaf ships an update every 2 days, Instant Reader every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
