# AltNotes vs Intentions

The clearest difference is update cadence: Intentions at every 2 days against AltNotes's every 6 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AltNotes sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Intentions sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AltNotes ships an update every 6 days, Intentions every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
