# Slideshow vs FanPix+

The clearest difference is ads: Slideshow at none against FanPix+'s shown. Slideshow also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). FanPix+'s advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slideshow sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and FanPix+ sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Slideshow ships an update every 6 weeks, FanPix+ fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
