# Read It Now vs Folio

The clearest difference is update cadence: Folio at every 4 days against Read It Now's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Read It Now sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Folio sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Read It Now ships an update every 3 weeks, Folio every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
